Life is really good right now. Busy, but good.
I am in the process of moving to a new apartment (again). We should have plenty of room for all the kiddos to each have a bed of their own, plus we'll even have a kitchen table, and a piano, and even a washer and dryer set!!! Rock on!
Classes are good but tough. Yeah, I should be doing homework right now. I know. Tsk. I hate online classes... I have such a hard time getting up the gumption to just do the work. I'd so much rather be browsing BSN or Facebook. I'm so bad.
Work is the awesome! I am so happy to be back at Best Buy. I love it there... my co-workers are the best, and my customers are wonderful too. Every day I get to teach people how to use their cameras... and that's what I'm going to school for, so someday this experience is going to look great on a resume!
And last but not at all least, I am absolutely thrilled to have the friends that I do. Not just you random people out in internet-land, I mean the real friends. The ones who I put through hell yet they are still there for me. The ones that I haven't talked to in years but if either of us needs the other, we're there. The ones that I truly love and respect. Thank you to all my friends who haven't disappeared because I broke up with a boyfriend, who haven't talked trash about me behind my back, and who haven't expected me to be able to accomplish the impossible.
I am truly happy.

Where In The World is Karen B?
No, I'm not dead. Honest. Don't mind the zombie bite on my neck, I haven't fully turned yet.
In case anyone wondered why I haven't been blogging on myspace or blogspot as regularly, rest assured that I have not discovered a crack addiction. Well, I try not to call it that anyway.
I've been spending my time on blueshirtnation.com, which is basically facebook for Best Buy employees. It's nice to be able to talk about my experiences, get feedback on PSP/PRP questions, and generally learn more than I ever thought possible. And you know me - I love to learn!
When I'm not online, feeding my crack I mean Best Buy addiction, I've been spending time with my boyfriend and his family. I'm totally in love with the kids, and someday when Aaron gets tired of me I'm going to demand joint-joint custody of them! (Assuming Jen's ok with it of course!) I can't wait to meet her boyfriend, Cody, because I just know he has to be a wonderful person too. We really are becoming one big happy family, and I love it!
So you haven't seen much of me online, and this trend will likely continue. The more of a real life I have, the less of an online life I maintain. That means whoever has been religiously checking my blog posts (the numbers tell the truth!) will have to resort to calling me to say hi. I know, I know, I generally discourage phone calls. But in this instance it's ok. Call, or text, or hit me up with an email.
Oh yeah, just FYI: I got promoted to full-time DI. I get benefits after a month. I'm so happy I could just pee myself. :)

Console War
A crazy fast-talking Brit reviews the three most popular gaming systems: The Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, and XBox 360. Notice that they all end in a long e.

CIL Syndrome
Here it is, a lovely Thursday afternoon, and I'm stuck on my couch with CIL Syndrome. I can't get up, be it to get a glass of water or to go for a walk. I'm barely even able to reach the laptop to issue a call for help.
For those of you unfamiliar with CIL Syndrome, let me describe it to you. First, you sit down on your couch. Then, you decide to kind of leaaaan back and get comfy (usually with a laptop or the television remote next to you). As soon as you're completely comfortable - WHAM!!! A cat jumps up on the couch and promptly falls asleep in your lap.
Yes, Cat In Lap Syndrome can be tough. Nobody wants to move the sleeping cat and suffer his wrath for the rest of the day. Said wrath can include such evil deeds as unrolling all your toilet paper, nibbling the edges of your plants, or even using your favorite shoes as his own private commode.
So what to do? Do I sit here all day until CIL syndrome wears off and the cat moves? Or do I ever-so-gently nudge him off my lap and onto the couch in hopes of not waking His Furriness? It's a tough decision. I think for at least the next few minutes I'm going to browse the internet and let him sleep. Hopefully he'll decide to get up before my bladder begins to protest.

Life In The Big Blue Box
For those who didn't already know, I work at Best Buy. This is my second go at it, the first being last Christmas season for two months. I left to take a job that offered a better pay, but zero contact with customers. Needless to say, I hated it.
So it's no surprise that I'm thrilled to be back. I love Best Buy, always have and always will. I can honestly say I have never bought anything at Circuit City or Ultimate Electronics. Maybe it's the blue shirts. Maybe it's the cleanliness of the store. Or maybe it's just the friendly employees who really are having fun at work. I've just always been a Best Buy customer.
Now that I'm back as an employee, I remember why I loved it so much and was so happy working there. The CUSTOMERS! My customers are some of the nicest, smartest people you will ever meet. Not a day goes by that one of them doesn't teach me something useful, and every day I get to laugh and joke like I'm surrounded by my best friends. It's wonderful.
Today I asked about blueshirtnation.com, which I'm told is basically a Facebook for Best Buy employees. I'm going to sign up for an account as soon as I get an employee number again (I don't get my old one back). I'm looking forward to reading other people's blogs and learning about their experiences.
Maybe that's why I love Best Buy so much. I love to learn. I love to teach. When I am working, I get to do both. That's the motto - Having Fun While Being The Best.
Life's good in the Big Blue Box.

First Post
Hello everyone, and welcome to the weird world of Karen.
I've actually been on Blogger for quite some time now, but since most people read my blogs on MySpace I never saw the point in moving them.
Yet Blogger does offer some neat things that MySpace does not - RSS feed capability, for example. Because heaven forbid someone go for more than ten minutes without knowing that I posted a new blog.
About me.... I am your run-of-the-mill American female, average height and weight with average features. Brown hair, brown eyes, brown skin... quite boring, really. But that's me, and I like being me.
Currently I am attending Webster University as I work toward my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) with an emphasis in Educational Technology. I plan to teach at a high school level once I have finished my teaching apprenticeship and qualify.
In my free time, I enjoy outdoors activities such as rollerblading and swimming, but I am just as likely to be plopped down on the couch playing Final Fantasy XII. I'm completely addicted to the internet, but in a good way (or so I tell myself).
Some hobbies include: board games, crochet, knitting, cross-stitch, rock climbing, camping, canoeing, fishing, wine tasting, beer indulging, and occasionally I've been known to go out to a movie with my friends or boyfriend.
Right now, I plan to have this blog detail events in my daily life and interesting finds on the internet. Yet this plan, like my mood, could change at any moment. So buckle up and hang on tight, 'cause it's going to be a bumpy ride!
